DPS Officer Terry Miller

Born November 22, 1961 in Portland, Texas. Terry was killed in the line of duty in Pleasanton, Tx on October 12, 1999 at the age of 37.

Terry was a long time student of the Martial Arts. He was awarded a Black Belt in the Art of Phan-ku Ryu Jujitsu January 11, 1997. He also held a 2nd degree Black Belt rating in Tae Kwon Do, and was a Police defensive tactics instructor.

Terry is survived by his wife Karen Kounty Miller and his daughters, Ashley and Amanda. He was laid to rest at the Hebron Cemetery in Cuero.

Terry will be missed by every member of this Dojo not only for his friendliness, hard work and dedication, but also for his law enforcement experience that he shared with our Dojo. May he rest in peace.
